Clint got the great news this weekend that his tests are looking awesome. No cancer cells found. Thank you for your continued faith, prayers, and support. What a great Christmas Gift this is.

Kicking for Cancer to support Clint Layton

You are invited to support a Davis County family’s father, husband, son, and friend, Clint Layton. In March 2009, Clint was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Clint and his family have had a huge impact in the community and we are requesting your help in their behalf. Anyone who has had children attend Viewmont High School, or played soccer at Viewmont, have come in contact with the Layton Family.

Kicking for Cancer, is hosting a 3 on 3 Mens and Womens soccer tournament and raffle open to anyone ages 15 and older who would like to participate. We will be giving away 3 Free Domestic Airline tickets donated by Hess Travel: 1 given at raffle, 1 to the Outstanding Womens player and 1 to the Outstanding Mens player.

A Viewmont High School Alumni soccer game will follow the 3 on 3 tournament. All proceeds and money will go to the Clint Layton family to aide in his fight against cancer. His treatment regimen is aggressive, long term and unfortunately, very costly. They need support for the medical bills while also raising two young girls ages 9 months and 4 years old.

We hope to make this a successful event and invite you to join us for a day of fun and to support a very worthwhile cause!

Tournament: 10am – 4:30pm
(need to be 15 years or older to play)

VHS Alumni soccer game: 5pm

Ticket cost for event: $40 per team (3 or 4 players)
$50 cash or check per team (3 or 4 players ) day of event

$5 minimum donation to watch

Today I spoke to Mariah Blaisdell who is working to get a fundraiser for Clint and his family. It is going to be a 3v3 soccer tournament, the day will end with an VHS alumni game...the icing on the cake. Clint is currently in a battle for his life and needs all the support he can get. We want to do all we can to support him and his family financially. You can imagine the medical expense for his treatment. There will be more inforamtion to come and links to an online registration form. There will be a raffle, entertainment, and all kinds of great stuff. Please join us and pass the word on to everyone you know. The event is scheduled for October 17th at VHS football field. Please check updated posts for more information.
